Founded in 1960 by Kings Point Graduate Capt. William M. Ayers, our company is an employee owned and operated full service steamship agency headquartered in Houston , Texas since 1988. We currently have agreements in place with a number of small privately owned agencies in ports around the USA which allows us to offer complete services to principals interested in the USA markets.
The primary focus of our organization in the representation of independent operators of vessels trading worldwide who are interested in both the liner and parcel / project freight business.
All Documentation and Customer Service needs are supervised by our Houston staff who have many years of experience working to ensure that our customers needs are met in a timely and professional manner.
Our office is able to arrange and provide for complete agency representation and vessel management on a world-wide basis through out our contact with agents and operators around the globe.

Our Key Personnel Include:
Irby J. Banquer – Currently President of the company, Irby joined Ayers in 1960 and has worked in every facet of the Industry. Irby is presently handling all administrative matters of the company as well as Sales and Marketing for our lines.
Larry L. Renaud – Joined Ayers Houston office in 1974 and has worked in all phases of operations, marketing and traffic management. Currently has the role of Line Manager for the services that we represent.
Bobbie J. Bryant – Joined Ayers Houston office in 1973 and handles all aspect of our accounting, including preparing Disbursement Accounts, Invoicing, etc.
Linda Martinez – Joined Ayers Houston office in 1978 and prepares and distributes documentation for all of our Lines as well as the duties of Freight Cashier. |
